Hockey grad session ~ Quebec & New-Brunswick photographer

I love photographing girls who can be tough but be pretty too. I couldn’t play hockey so when I meet a girl who can I’m all about it! Here’s a couple of images from a session I did right before the holiday break.

Girls just wanna have fun ~ Quebec & New-Brunswick photographer

Every once in a while I get asked to photograph friends. Now these ladies are in the graduating class of 2014 at Sugarloaf High School, so I was excited to share in the experience. After all it’s nice sometimes to surround yourself with fun and beautiful youthfulness! They were great and we had some good laughs, so here is a peek at their session…

One year anniversary session ~ Quebec & New-Brunswick photographer

So, this momma wanted to have her newborn photographed when he was born and couldn’t make the long trek from Kuujjuaq, Quebec so we made an appointment on their summer vacation, which happened to fall right around their one year anniversary. Baby was still young, so there were a couple reasons for getting some portraits done. I love this family, I’ve been there for many of their recent life changing events and I’m happy everytime we get to do it again! So, here is a sneak peek of an August session!

Native talent ~ Quebec & New-Brunswick photography

So, I’ve known this guy since he was a boy. It’s amazing to watch someone grow into such a talented artist. So, here are some of the strong images we got out of our portrait session. To see more of this Mi’gmaq musician, see the youtube link I’ve posted below…

Remembering Florian Levesque: a.k.a. Monsieur Flo – Quebec & New-Brunswick Photographer

After hearing about the sad news of Florian Levesque having passed away suddenly, I just wanted to share the beautiful images he and I created in 2009.  He was preparing one of his children’s shows, and spent a couple of hours with me one gloomy afternoon in September.  I remember him playing out parts of the show, so that the images would look authentic…and I loved every minute of it.  He was the most entertaining adult I had ever photographed, and still to date. He had an energy about him that was simple, yet so wise. I loved hearing his plans and the stories he told, and you could tell his special appreciation for First Nations people when he spoke of the Mi’gmaq. He will always be remembered as an artist, entertainer, writer and activist…One thing I will sure miss is his column in the local paper. He was always bringing light to issues that didn’t necessarily affect you directly, but affected the planet and humanity as a whole, despite living in our somewhat quiet region.  Thank you Florian, for living your life not only for yourself, but keeping all of our best interest at heart. You’ve contributed immensely and it will not be forgotten, and with this some of my favorite images that we had some fun shooting on a gloomy September afternoon back in 2009…

Happy Birthday Brooke!

There are times when I get to be part of a celebration because my clients think it’s something worth remembering.  I usually feel honored to be chosen to capture these special events and moments.  This session was booked by the big sisters for their younger sister’s 18th birthday bash! What a fun session it was, friends were invited and we got to capture both silly and elegant portraits.  So, I hope you had a great time Brooke, enjoy this preview…;)
